Graduation Cap

Congratulations to the Class of 2021

We were delighted to celebrate the Class of 2021 with in-person recognitions this spring.

Welcome to UCLA Commencement 2021! Similar to last year, where UCLA Commencement was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, UCLA’s degree conferring ceremonies held by the College and professional schools were presented in a virtual format. These virtual ceremonies combined traditional commencement addresses by distinguished faculty and guest speakers along with graduate recognition.

Because June 2021 conditions in Los Angeles County allowed for limited opportunities to publicly congregate, we were happy to offer the UCLA 2021 Graduate Celebration. The Graduate Celebration was an opportunity for graduating students to experience a live, in-person procession and stage cross at Drake Stadium or Los Angeles Tennis Center along with two guests.

Update on 2020 and 2021 rescheduled in-person ceremonies:

The College of Letters and Science, the UCLA International Institute, the Samueli School of Engineering, the Herb Alpert School of Music, the School of Nursing, and the School of Theater, Film, and Television are holding joint commencement ceremonies in person this fall for their bachelor’s and master’s degree recipients from the Class of 2020.

Details about these ceremonies for the Class of 2020 can be found here.

A similar set of in-person ceremonies are being held for the Class of 2021, with the details found here.
